First MTB Purchase
After 20 years with basketball, I decided to replace it with something else.
It was Scott Scale 970, that year's model, black with orange. Had a hard time justifying the cost of 1150eur at the time.
When the guy at the shop said about clippless pedals, I laughed.
2020
Getting INTO the Rabbit Hole
Decided to check what that Carbon Fiber whole internet talking, is about. Scott Scale 925 of 2020 appeared at my home. Immediately ordered 36T, new cranks, the chain and left the bike at the shop to change it for me -
"I am not going to do bike maintenance on my own". Did Rapha 500 during pandemic, all outside, something clicked.
2021
First start at MTB XC Race
Karma Experiments, Tapeliai, amateurs group. Out of nowhere took the 3rd place and things kicked off. Recording every single race with GoPro and making custom onboards in Youtube. In November, flew to Madeira without the ticket back, to work and ride rental bikes, or vice versa. In the meantime - preordered new Scott Spark RC PRO 2022.
2022
First MTB STAGE RACE
After the first season in my home country, I decided to dive a step deeper. Found the best coach to train with and made a quest to conquer the mountains. After Alpen Tour Trophy finish I felt something has changed irrevocably. I felt VOID.
2023
Pairs Race & Exploration Abroad
Spent winter riding in Tenerife and randomly got at the start line in pairs of ABC stage race with a person I only knew from Instagram, in Portugal.
Went to multiple single day races in surrounding countries around Lithuania to see what MTB is about there.
2024
37 Race Starts in a Season
Lot's of new and first times with the start of the season in January, Spain,. Pairs race in Vuelta Ibiza with my coach - thing I probably could not even ever dreamt about. With that high hype went to 6 stage races abroad: 3 in Spain, 2 in Poland and 40th Roc d'Azur anniversary in France.
2025
Is Back to Back Any GOOD?
Returned to two locations from 2024 season to see where I am at one year. after Got to the most anticipated races in Italy: Hero Dolomites & Mythos. Reduced number of starts in a season to enjoy the process more. Nailed it!

NEW Horizons Ahead
